After about a month back in the city I had some friends over for a housewarming partayy. The theme: nepotism babies. And yes, I forced people to dress up. And made a pinterest board for costume inspo. I can’t really describe what a nepotism baby is, but i will copy paste the hella extra event description because i spent way too much time on it:
Calling all my favorite Bay Area trust fund kids and Barnard bratz to help celebrate my return to downtown NY! What better way to usher in my new phase of life in Bella Hadid's zip code than with the theme: Nepotism Babies. Leave the PR-friendly girlboss at the door because the meritocracy is fake and we're all we need!
I was inspired after listening to a podcast episode about nepotism babies. Many of my friends are disillusioned and not loving their jobs post-college and we joke that the move is to just be a housewife because working and being a responsible girlboss is overrated. hence why the idea of being a beautiful genetically gifted nepotism baby and having a career/money lined up already is so appealing!!
Anyways, hosting is soooo stressful when you live alone and have to do everything yourself, but it ended up being so fun and the perfect excuse to round up all of my friends in one place for once.
I wore: a Mirror Palais silk slip dress, gucci tights, and old lily pulitzer flats I thrifted from a bin for $10.
^Ignore my face, I still had no full length mirror so this is literally how I chose my outfit, with my back camera and self timer.
Cat documented the night with her new film camera and the photos are a vibe. all pics taken by her unless otherwise noted.
until next time
